Only The Highest-Rated Roofing Materials
Available & Installed To Perfection.
Owens Corning developed and commercialized the fiberglass-reinforced asphalt shingle, a product that lasts longer than the shingles previously made with an organic substrate. A stronger fiberglass mat helps the factories that make shingles operate more efficiently, and since glass fibers don’t absorb moisture, the shingles perform better on a home’s roof. A shingle system with fiberglass substrate can achieve a Class- A fire rating.
High Performance: Owens Corning introduced a high-performance line of Duration® Series shingles with a 130-mile-per-hour wind resistance warranty for storm impacted areas where wind is an issue.
Cooling Down: Owens Corning has developed a line of uniquely colored, premium dimensional shingles with solar-reflecting granules that help reduce roof temperature and the amount of energy needed to cool a home.
Asphalt: Owens Corning processes asphalt under the Trumbull® brand for low-slope built-up roofing used on commercial buildings. An innovative Owens Corning product, TruLo® Max Asphalt incorporates low-fuming, low-odor dual technology to reduce job-site emissions and odors. To develop the product, the company added a technologically advanced polymer that creates a skin to trap fumes and odor inside the asphalt kettle.
When you buy Owens Corning™ Roofing shingles, you can rest assured that their commitment to quality is of the highest importance. Owens Corning shingles undergo extensive testing to ensure they meet industry standards and certifications so that you can feel good about your roofing investment. In addition, their products will delight you with their beauty, and provide you with a confidence that your home is protected, today and tomorrow. Why?
Since 1938, Owens Corning has had a history of innovation. They invented Fiberglas® fibers, which helped transform many markets such as automotive, recreational, and building materials—their famous PINK™ Insulation has been used in millions of homes across the country. They held their first fiberglass shingle patent in 1965, and helped convert the old organic shingle marketplace throughout the 1980’s. Today, the fiber glass and asphalt composition of roofing shingles plays a crucial role in the durability and performance of all asphalt shingles.
